Every year Germania hosts a tug of war competition, with teams from various clubs in the area participating. Teams consist of eight men (men’s competition) or four woman and four men (co-ed competition) with alternates and captains for up to a total of 10 team members per each team.
All teams must check-in at the Stark Zieh’n booth at 12:45 pm to obtain a wristband. Only team members with a wristband will be permitted to participate in the competition. Team captains must also have a wristband. Official rules of the competition are available by contacting Jason Hammann or at the Start Zieh’n booth.
The Tug-of-War Parade of Teams happens at 1:30 pm from the Klubhaus to the Wies’n. After the opening ceremonies, the Tug-of-War Competition starts at 3:00pm and goes till about 4:30-5:00pm.
