Germania Society of Cincinnati Logo

Germania has a number of different events throughout the year, some for the public and some for our members although non-member guests are welcome at just about everything (unless specifically indicated).

We have three major events each year: Oktoberfest, Christkindlmarkt, and Maifest. Germania also hosts a Volksmarch two times a year. We have monthly Membership Meetings, which include dinner, bier, and lots of gemütlichkeit. And every month we have several other events for members, as well as local German community events that our members are encouraged to participate in representing the Germania Society.

Cincy Blues Challenge
Jun 3 @ 9:00 am – 8:30 pm

Gates open at 11:30am — rain or shine. Blues in the Schools Band will start the show, followed by 24 great blues acts — all on one stage competing to go to the International Challenge in Memphis, and also competing for a slot on the local stage at the Cincy Blues Fest in August. The best blues southwest Ohio has to offer, all in one day!

Germania’s Schützenverein will be serving up hand rubbed, smoked pulled pork BBQ, paired with 2 types of homemade sauces, sweet and hot; 2 types of coleslaw, traditional sweet/creamy, and a sweet/tangy homemade Creole style; and smokehouse BBQ baked beans. Also German sausages, sauerkraut, pickles, and pretzels. And American burgers, hot dogs and french fries. And the Pavilion bar will be open serving great German Bier!

The Cincy Blues Society member admission price ($10) will be available to all Germania members displaying a valid Germania membership card at the gate. You can also join the Blues Society that day and get in free.
